1947 First female member joins the IJA, Betty Gorham Willer. She is now an IJA Honorary Life Member.

1973 First woman to compete in the IJA championships was Judy Burgess (Judy Finelli). See her letter in Juggler's World Fall 1988 pg. 2.

1975 Pam Doyle showered 6 batons and was first female to win a medal at an IJA competition.

1980 Fargo I.J.A. Festival -- Kezia Tenenbaum won the IJA Juniors Championship with 57 points. Kezia was also part of the trio, Magnificent Material Movers -- they won the Teams.

1984 Lottie Brunn was the informal keynoter at the Women's Forum attended by at least 30 female jugglers on July 20, 1984. The Forum was organized by Karen Rothstein and Laura Green.

1988 Renegade Rene is awarded the first Seattle, Washington, Cascade Jugglers Outstanding Woman Award.

1988 First woman 5K joggler -- Laurie Young

1989 Cindy Marvell is the first female to win the IJA Seniors Individual Championship.

1989 Cindy Marvell receives the Cascade Jugglers Outstanding Woman Award.

1990 Mary Wilkins receives an Honorary Life Membership in the I.J.A.

1990 First long-standing joggling record 100-meters -- Sandy Brown

1991 First baby born at a festival, Anthony Ronald Mills, son of Carol and Steve Mills. He performed in the public show the following year.

1991 First IJA Historical Achievement Award presented to Trixie Larue at St. Louis IJA Festival.

1991 Laura Green's peers award her the IJA People's Choice Award.

1992 Lottie Brunn is honored with the IJA Historical Achievement Award.

1993 First wedding at an IJA Festival -- Jennifer and Steve Salberg at Fargo, ND

1993 Mary Wilkins receives the Cascade Jugglers Outstanding Woman Award.

1994 Erin Kasper receives the Cascade Jugglers Outstanding Woman Award.

1995 Francoise Rochais wins the Seniors Individual Championship of the IJA and the Numbers Individual Clubs Competition.

1996 Elizabeth Sanberg receives the first Flamingo Award for "Outstanding Promise in Juggling".

1996 Peggy Reuss receives the Cascade Jugglers Outstanding Woman Award.

1996 Chad Patz celebrates 9 birthdays at 9 IJA Festivals at age 9.

1996 Kay Caskey and Laurie Young win the IJA Excellence in Education Award.

1997? Nov. 9 Heather Hackett-Brinegar is the first woman to joggle a marathon.

1997 Dorothy Finnigan receives the Flamingo Award.

1997 Dina Scharnhorst receives the Cascade Jugglers Outstanding Woman Award.

1998 Nicole Deese receives the Flamingo Award.

1999 Ginny Rose is awarded the IJA Extraordinary Service Award.

1999 Melinda Gonzalez receives the Flamingo Award for "Outstanding Promise in Juggling" and Ansley Hendrickson receives the Flamingo "Creative Award".

2000 Lana Bolin receives the Flamingo Award.

2000 Dina Scharnhorst receives the IJA Extraordinary Service Award.

2000 JoAnn Swaim is the first woman to win the master division of the Three-Ball Open at the summer IJA festival.

2000 Dorothy Finnigan wins a medal in the IJA Juniors Competition.

2001 Valida Prentice receives the Flamingo Award.

2002 Jenna Ackerman and Michelle Mills receive the Flamingo Award.

2003 Olga Galchenko receives the Flamingo Award.  Olga and her brother Vova win the silver medal in the IJA Teams Competition.

2004 Olga and Vova Galchenko receive IJA Numbers Award for 54 passes caught with 12 clubs, plus 152 passes caught with 11 clubs, plus 378 passes caught with 10 clubs
